just set up a nice new 4 desktop workgroup network. all running xp pro.

the client (believes) that the computers are running quite slow when doing routine tasks (opening documents, browsing network files shared on the workstations).

any ideas why it might be running slow??

See Newt's post in this thread. Also, if there's a router involved, duplex settings should be set to 100Mbps/full duplex.
