    It works well for me so far. I see they have added 023 items which causes AVG7 to be detected in two areas. I just added them to my ignore list and then rescanned - came up clean.

    Sorry to hear that. I had seen reference to that about the first issue of the "latest" version but thought it had been fixed.

    I didn't mean it was a problem, just that it was different. My understanding is that they added this 023 detection feature in view of future possible threats in that area. The hits it portrays on legit proggys are no problem and easily recognized and dealt with.

    The 023 detections were added to the 1.99 version due to an increasing amount of rogue services being added by scumware. The scan will show (should) any services that are not Windows defaults.

    Thanks, now I understand. The O23 items are not necessarily malware. Of course, HJT does not tell us what is malware. It just shows what is running, leaving the PC owner to make up his/her own mind what should be deleted.
