New Updates from MS

    There are about 5 new security updates that arrived today. Has anyone had the guts to install them yet? so I can find out if they are going to gum up my computer :)

    Updates generally come out on the second Tuesday of the month...

    I haven't had any problems with the recent ones.....

    Course this doesn't mean you won't:eek: :eek:

    Hi ackerberg

    My system runs Realtek audio software. Followed MS advice and downloaded, installed current Realtek drivers (KB925902 issues). After image and data backups, installed all April updates last night.
    No problems. System running fine.

    Hello ackerberg,

    You can make it easier on yourself in case of a problem by not doing them all at once.

    People like Dennis and myself can afford to take more chances because of drive imaging. Those (the vast majority) who don't image, ought to be more carefull.

    I am in the middle of upgrading a HP PC for a customer. I did a fresh install (non-HP disk) and allowed this month's updates to install after creating a restore point. So far no issues.
