New Type Of "startup" Item Encountered

    "Rooting" around on security sites since coming back from vacation, came upon this thread at net-integration (SpyBot's home site):

    Don't know if this is old news or not here. There are two programs mentioned to fight this: one is a plugin to Ad-Aware, and the other is Advanced Process Manipulation by DiamondCS - the TrojanDefenseSuite folks.

    FYI

    Autoruns, a free app from www.sysinternals.com will show ALL possiblle startup locations of everything on your computer and once run, you can disable from within the app or edit the registry manually.

    Have autoruns. In the thread, this app didn't show it either unfortunately.

    EDIT: Take that back - Autostartviewer is listed, confused the two.
