Got a couple of posts today with W32.Klez.H@mm. Norton caught them and deleted but then it got really strange. When I went back to the inbox (OE6 on XP-pro) to delete the actual posts, highlighting one (/w preview turned on) caused a "save as" window to pop up. No way to get it to go away except CAD and kill OE. Happened with both copies.

No damage but very unusual behavior. I wonder if this is a new variation. Anybody else seen similar?

    Hi Newt.
Any chance it froze because you had the preview pane on, and when you clicked on it, it activated your virus scanner?

    Just a guess, obviously.

Maybe the fact that the scripting contained within the mail is attempting to execute an attachment which has been pruned away by Norton is leaving OE feeling a tad flummoxed?
