    Good Morning Ramona,

I've been meaning to speak to you about this since I got my new profile but the TV war sorta took over my time.

Before I did the new profile I had 3 address books. The addresses collected,a personnel address book and just an address book. With the new profile I do not have the address book, just the first two.

I also deleted some addresses from the personnel book in the old profile but I haven't in the new one. Do you suppose if I were to delete some addresses from the present book it would bring up the address book and I would have 3 books again?

It's no big deal but having the address that we don't use that often in a address book that we could pull up was quite handy.

    Oscar ;)

    Oscar,

Just a couple of quick questions:

    1. What Operating System are you using?

    2. Can you still access your OLD profile through Profile Manager ?

If you can still access you OLD profile,
Open NS in that profile, Open ADDRESS BOOK, Select the ADDRESS BOOK that you want and and under TOOLS - export as .ldif file (use the name (OLD ADDRESS BOOK) Note where you exported it to.

    Close NS

Open NS in the NEW profile and import the .ldif ADDRESS BOOK.

    Hope this helps.

    regards:

    captjlddavis,

Thank you for your response to my inquiry.

My OS is Xp Home. I have not attempted to access my old profile as I thought maybe XP os might make a difference as it seems to have a habit of during things differently then the other OS.

Will hold off until hearing from you before accessing old profile. I don't believe that will be a problem .

    Oscar,

You should not have any problems if you can open the old profile through profile manager.

Open the old profile, Open the Address book - > Tools -> Export:

    old addressbook.ldif

Close all NS related programs, including Quick Launch

Open NS in your new profile. Open Address Book -> Tools-> Import and import the "old addressbook.ldif" file that you just exported from the old profile.

You should now have the following:

    Personal Address book
    Collected addresses

    old address book

Post back if you have any problems.

    Captjidavis,

I opened Profile Manager but I do not think I can access the OLD profile.

It has my NEW profile and that is it. I can do one of three things and I didn't feel comfortable doing any one of them. I can rename, delete and create a profile & I didn't think I should do any of those. Not after the mess I created with the profile the last time.

    Oscar,

From what you have said, it sounds like you "deleted" the old profile when you created the NEW one.

Did you DELETE all files at that time ?

If not, then your OLD profile files are still there.

Look in the profile directory and see if the OLD PROFILE files are still there.

If they are, go to Profile Manager:

CREATE a profile with EXACTLY the same name as your old profile.

This should bring up the OLD profile data.

If this is true, proceed as suggested above.

    Let me know.

    regards:

    Captjlddavis,

I apologize for not reply to your last posting but have been under the weather and have not attempted to follow your instructions.

Will attempt it when I feel more alert.

    Regards, Oscar
