    Greetings!

I volunteer at a local thrift store and the other day we had an IBM ThinkPad 365XD donated. The only problem is that it still has the original OS and a bunch of applications installed, but it didn’t come with any of the original CD’s or licenses. I have a valid copy of Windows 98 that I’m willing to donate, but when I go into the BIOS of the laptop there isn’t a setting for "Boot from CD." I want to sell this a legitimate, legal computer and am wondering if anyone knows how I can go about creating a Startup Disk from a Win 98 CD when the computer is running Win 95?

    Thanks!

Does the computer have a floppy disk drive? If so you can download a bootdisk here. Download either the Win98 OEM or Win98SE OEM disk. Either one will work regardless of which windows version you have.

Once downloaded, put a floppy disk in the drive, then double click on the file you downloaded and it will make the disk for you.
