New MS Update - KB927891

    Anyone know anything about this update? Will it destroy my computer :)

    Hi, ackerberg. :)

    I got an update notification icon in my System Tray last night and I used it to download the update. I have not noticed any of the symptoms described in the link Pete provided.

    I installed the update last night and I have not noticed any subsequent problems. We'll see what happens on the June 12 "Patch Tuesday ". :)

    I haven't experienced any of the problems/symptoms but I only use Windows Update to get notification of new updates. I go to Windows Update Catalog or Microsoft Download to download the updates to my hard disk and install from there. I was not convinced that I need KB927891 but I followed my standard procedure and installed it.

    Like mailman stated, on the next "Patch Tuesday" we will know if installing was a mistake.
