Perhaps the least important thread you have seen.
Lately when I save a Microsoft page as a Favorite I often get a new Favicon. A blank (no lines) sheet of paper with a bent edge. It almost always used to be a hand supporting a blue question mark.
    For example
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...e3-c795-4b7d-b037-185d0506396c&DisplayLang=en
Has MS changed or do I have a "Problem "?

I get the same. Gee, I hope they have more creativity than that when it comes to Vista! :D

When I download an update for Windows XP, I also add a shortcut to the Security Bulletin in the same folder. The last time, the icon for the shortcut looked like that but a day or two later, when I burned the update to CD, the icon looked normal.

I have added Welshjim's shortcut to my Favorites and watching closely when I opened the browser, it looked like the other ones but after a fraction of a second, it looked "new ".

See the attachments, I had to be quick hitting "print screen" to get it. I hereby name this a bug!

Right-click the link > Properties > Change icon > you can choose the "normal" icon.
