Just installed a new Intel MB retail boX D845GEBV2, Intel boxed 1.8A |CPU, 512MB DDR Kingston.modem,SCSI card adaptec Yamaha SCZI, and Yamaha IDE CDRW, WD 60G HDD, and \IBM Deskview 40gHDD, 1 floppy.

Set up a new HDD, 3 partitions, formatted only 1 so far., older w2000k disc with all my files on it. When turned on it seemed to recognize everything but when it started to show the desktop screen, just before, you log on as the administrator it started to BEEEEEEEEP. I hit the num lock about 5 times and it stopped, but it is a problem. How can I address and solve it. Not the memory, all was loading ok. Tried to change the keyboard connection. Stopped a minute, then when re-booted, it started again.
Also when I installed the drivers from Intel Express Installer CD, it appears that a hub file is missing in the system area. Tried to reload but it says the drivers are not compatible. What can I do?

    HELP AND THANK YOU

I had a board that did that. I disabled all PC Health and temperature monitoring in the BIOS and that fixed it. It seems this particular board/BIOS was defective in this area.

    Same subject and MORE....

    Alex
I went into the BIOS and could not find any way to do what you suggest. The BIOS is Intels RGP84810A.0022.p12 dtd 11/15/2002 ver.08.000. I d/l the updated BIOS p-16. It doesn't say AMI, or AWARD, or PHOENIX BIOS, so I don't know how to respond. they are using their own, I guess.

I just encountered another problem. When I try to restart it hangs up. Why? who knows.
Also, When loading the drivers I get an error code 28 USB CONTROLLER PCI/VEN-8086&DEV_24CD& SUBSYS....
It says \I have to download a USB Driver from Microsoft FOR USB 2.0. Is there another place I can get it from?

    Thanks for all your help
