Hey guys, it's Nason again with another dilemma! On my main computer, McAfee has detected a trojan in my comp named New Malware.w. I tried to go to the extention it provided which is c:\system volume information\ but it tells me that I am denied access there. McAfee has found about 10 incarnations of the same exact virus, and has quarantined them all, so I cannot remove them. And upon reading up on what the trojan is, and what it does, my comps performance as well as internet capabilities seem to be crippled majorly. I need to get these things off of my computer, and some possible instructions on what to do next. If you can help guys, that would be EXCELLENT! Thanks guys, hope to hear from you in a few min to help me out!

The location of those found viruses are in system restore and pose no threat.

You can clean out system restore and those findings will no longer appear.

    Set New System Restore Point

Once that is done, run another scan and see if you get the same results.

I set a new system restore point, but the internet is still not responding at all. I do know there is a connection, because my laptop can hook up to the network with no problem. So could there be something else wrong maybe?

Did you check your connection properties on the pc that does not hook up? what happens when you try to connect? Let us know what errors or messages you get.
