New mail Notifier Icon not appearing

    I have recently been receiving new email but the "notifier" icon is not showing in the task bar.
    I have it set to "hide when inactive" but it does not appear at all?

    Is there any other way of notification of new mail??

    Have you tried removing the icon from the 'Hide when inactive list'?

    peterjon - I have mine (xp-pro) set to always show. It does show but only when new mail arrives.
