I was one of the unfortunate ones who arrived too late to download the beta for this new offering from AOL. I understand that a limited number of testers were given the opportunity to download and install it and I've read a bit about their experiences on the "other" forum. I understand that the EULA does not allow for it to be shared so I'm not asking for that. What I'm wondering about is... has anyone who is a tester, heard anything about "when" this might be finalized and made available to the general public? Thanks.

    James,
the question of "when" , about or not is a no-no, because many factors can affect a release. This is more true when it applies to a program which has seen only two builds. Who knows what will be satisfactory to AOL?
As you may have read at another website, it seems that triviality has occupied some people's mind, like the looks of the theme, which is, indeed, ugly and the fact that it may be sort of an hydrid with viewing as IE.
Nobody is forcing the user to use the feature, which, to me, is better than than the IEView extention of Firefox, which asks me to open IE. That extention is long gone, although very popular. The testing has been chaotic, and I feel that some people who have been complaining all along, for trivial reasons, should be asked to leave, and allows others to take their place.
But, I think that with the second build we have something solid. And, I think that people should get use to the combining of the top, usually blue toolbar, and the moving of the function buttons to the right (yes, a lot of moaning about that). So, when? Later this year, with development of Thunderbird equivalent going on, also.
