:D Hello, my name is Dale, aka Feathers and I came across this forum while looking for fixes to help me reformat and update my laptop. Once I started reading, I couldn't stop so opted to join and read later. I live in the north western part of TN. Very close to Ky lake. I'm a wildlife rehabber and a person who works with exotic birds by finding a home for those in need or providing such if need be. We (husband and I) live on 23 acres of woodland and have many of the wildlife come to the door. Probably because I feed them. I've had a computer or several since they first came out and now build mine. At least, I did until I became very ill and couldn't remember how to put the parts together. Bought a computer that I am not happy with and now can hardly wait until I gain the money to build a new one. Unfortunately we don't have cable or dsl here in the woods so will end up with satellite. Other than working with the birds or wildlife, I pretend to have a garden. Most of the vegies get eaten before I get to pick them. I guess I'll probably be one of the oldsters here, as I'm a bit over 50. That ought to leave you guessing. At least, those who don't see my birthdate. I'm also a bit of a night owl and spend many nights checking out whatever's on the internet or on my mind at that time. Most of the time it's to check out what new gadgets are available and the reviews on them. Thanks for the great site, I think I'll be visiting quite often. If not to see what's up, it'll be because I need help with something I've messed up. Dale

Welcome to WindowsBBS. At 50 you'll be one of the 'younger' ones actually :D

    The "kid "

Thanks for the welcome. It'll be refreshing to be the "kid" on the block instead of the Oldster. Didja notice I didn't say just how much the "bit" over 50 I am? Some things just have to remain a mystery. ;)
Been perusing (sp) through info and still am finding great info. No, I didn't download spell check yet. I've reformatted the harddrive on this laptop and am at the stage of downloading and installing the service pack 3. On dialup, these things take forever so I opt to do it at night.
