New Default Forum Skin

    Hi,

    I have updated the default forum skin. This new skin is a 'lighter' version than the previous default, which is a big advantage in the speed of the forum.

    If you prefer the previous version our active members can choose their skins using the Style Chooser

    If you only see the "Default" skin listed, unfortunately you don't qualify as active member. You could consider taking out a subscription which gives you access to 3 different forum skins + the added benefit of no advertisements!

    Yea, the details for the previous skin (now called "Modern"):

    Homepage:
    Fully Loaded Time 7.7s
    Total Page Size 1.51MB
    Requests 232

    Windows 10 Forum page
    Fully Loaded Time 8.5s
    Total Page Size 1.30MB
    Requests 222

    The new default skin:
    Homepage:
    Fully Loaded Time 4.2s
    Total Page Size 1.17MB
    Requests 87

    Windows 10 Forum page
    Fully Loaded Time 5.1s
    Total Page Size 898KB
    Requests 89

    So quite a big difference...

    New Default screen only fills about 3/4 of my screen area, where the previous skin filled the screen. Loading BBS Forum page has always been almost instantaneous.

    Yes, that's the design. As noted above, you can easily change back ;)
