After my old desktop wouldn't start I decided to buy a new PC instead of fixing what appeared to be a bad power supply. I bought a Lenovo desktop and restored most of my files from iDrive. I have had the following issues:
    1. After a period of time away from the computer, the graphics display changes to one that is too big for my screen. In order to access the start programs I have to reset the graphics. At the same time all of my previously open programs have closed. This also happens when I start the PC from scratch.
    2. I tried to upload new drivers but the operation kept timing out.
    3. I was unable to access the start menu to start any programs (Word, Outlook, etc.)
    4. They only way to turn off the computer was with the power switch (I know that's a no-no) but I was able to access the start menu after that
    Thanks for any help.

Hi Fauxqui, It sounds to me like you definitely need to update your drivers.
Did you get a Manual and a Disc with the new unit?
Have you been able use Windows Update?

If this is brand new then it should be under warranty. I would return it and get another.
