Im tryign to network 3 windows xp comptuers, the problem is one of the computers is professional and the other two are home, \

The professional computer can view shared files on the two home xp comptuers but the two Home xp comptuers can not see shared files on the Professional xp computer, please help

 

Do you have Simple File Sharing enabled on XP-pro? It's the only option for XP-home and while you can let them share files without this as a setting on XP-pro, it may be the easy way to get things working. See the picture for details.

 

One more problem

ok i fixed the problem with the three computers but now i have one more problem


I have two windows xp pro computers that cant see each other on the network, they are both xp pro one can see the whole network and the other cannot.

i cant ping each others ip address over the network either i have done wha tthe post above said and still nothing they are both windows updated

Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

It would be nice to know how you fixed the first problem.

Please start a new thread for the 2nd problem. Otherwise things tend to get a little confused.
