Have a wireless LAN setup with mostly XP O/S's but now I have to network a 98SE and 2 Windows ME clients in. The SE and ME computers can see and access all the XP C:\ drives, but the SE and ME computers won't speak to each other!
I'm getting a variety of error messages such as, "No domain server available to validate your password ", and," The domain conroller for this domain domain cannot be found ", and" There are no logon servers avilable to service the logon request "...
I have done away with all the windows logon passwords on all the systems and file and printer sharing in enabled on all. Also all computers are using TCP/IP protocols.
    HELP!

If the network is not using any domain controller then change the 98 & ME network settings to "member of workgroup" and not "member of domain ".

If the 98 & ME comps have Internet access as well, then best to change the entire network to use NetBeui rather than TCP/IP because TCP is very insecure on 98 & ME networks with file & printer sharing enabled.
