I have an adsl connection with an external USB modem.

I would like to use a linksys hub , i already own, to connect 3 pc's together
but the model I have is not designed for a usb modem.

is it possible to connect the 3 pc's into the hub then share the internet usb adsl connection?

First off a terminalogoy thing. The device is a router/switch. Hub and switch do similar things but in a very different fashion.

If you have your broadband modem hooked into the device, you can either run 3 devices using the remaining ports or else you can wire a hub or switch to the port and run even more devices. Max is 254 PCs or printers or whatever.

It should be pretty automatic and hooking a PC to the switch with a normal patch cable while setting the network card to automatically get settings and you should be in business.
