Hi, can anyone please help me with a question i have?

I wish to set up a home network with the varous computers linked up together to share files + internet connection.

The problem is that i have just installed a broadband internet connection. I was planning on butying a router to share this between my computers but i have been told that i will also need a switch is this true?

Or would a router be suffice?

Any help on this will be much appreciated.

Most of those routers you see in the stores for home and small office use are actually a router/switch/firewall all-in-one. Some even have a print server built-in as well. Just look on the box and make sure it mentions both router and switch and you'll be good to go.
