network Printing Problem On Windows 2000 Domain

    Hi Gud day I have been finding solution on this problem i know you guys out here can help me out and tnx in advance. I have windows XP and Win98SE in my windows 2000 Network. when I print from windows XP to my Win98se for the first time its ok but after less than an hour the shared printer in my win98SE disconnect from the network and my WindowsXP can't print no more unless i restart my XP. my windows 2000 server has DNS and wins installed. Question is what cause this problem and how can I fix this please help I'm new to windows 2000 and need a guidance from you guys.

    BTW other windows98se prints to shared printer is OK...

    Does the printer has a sleep option that might need to be turned off?

    Have you tried viewing files on the 98 machine to re-establish the connection.

    :confused: I don't think the printer has sleep option and the file sharing is ok.
    you can see the shared files of WIN98SE the only problem that I encounter is the printer disconnect on the network of windows XP. Did anyone of you guys have some sort of similar problem or network printer problem in a windows domain so that it will give me an idea how to trobleshoot the problem thanks..
