    Hiya!

    They quit working! I had 3 network shortcuts in my sendto folder that would allow for transferring files. Now whenever I try to send files, instead of sending them I get the files dumped in my sendto folder. And on top of that, I can no longer make a working shortcut in my sendto folder. Instead of an actual shortcut, I get a 'system' type folder (no overlay) that expands (arrow on right side) whenever I try and use it. Any ideas?

    TIA!

    Maybe, possibly, hopefully, this is part of the same issue that is causing your WE crashes when you xfer files. So I'd wait on doing anything until after you clean that up. See the Other thread for suggestions on doing that.

    After the WE crashes are dealt with, if send-to is still busted, we'll work on it.

    Thanks Newt! One thing that has changed (somehow?) is the network folder in the "SendTo" menu is now expandible for some reason. Before, it was just a folder icon with shortcut overlay, now it's a folder icon with "expansion arrow" on the menu to the right side. This means I can no longer 'send' anything to the folder because it always wants to expand as far as it can. I'm thinking there's a setting somewhere to control this behavior, but cannot recall where... :(

    -> minor revision:

    First I tried making shortcuts from within my 'SendTo | Shares' folder instead of dragging the network place from the neighborhood to the sendto folder, which got rid of the "expanding folder" problem. Sending files now works from the sendto folder. However! It used to work from a folder called 'Shares' that was nested inside the sendto folder. I got it working by moving the shortcuts out of the 'Shares' folder and into the sendto folder. Next question is WHY did it quit working from within the nested folder? Did I get shafted on one of the MS (so called) updates?

    Excellent question Russ.

    I haven't a clue though.

    Just glad you got things working again.
