    Hi,
I have two laptops at home and I would like to set up a little network. Both have wireless cards and one is connected directly to ADSL via USB modem. I would like to share Internet connection(this one I managed to do -using SSID network and WEP protection). Now I would like to make "network neighbourhood" working. I have set File and Printer sharing as available, made some folders on each computer shared, but I can't see any results neither when I write "\\computer_name" in command window nor when I try to add new item to "network places ". Both computers are in the same workgroup.
I don't know if it is required but notebooks I'm trying to connect: first one is Asus a6000 with Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Net(connected directly to ADSL and with printer) and the other one is Acer TM 4502(paremeters in my signature).
Im rather beginner in network issues so forgive me for mistakes I mihgt have made:eek:

    Thank You in advance

Setting up a network between two PCs via an Ad hoc wireless connection and then sharing an internet connection over that wireless network is possible, but hard work. The easiest solution is to invest in an ADSL wireless router and let the router manage both the wireless network and the internet sharing.

Also have a look at this Microsoft guide which was the first hit from this search.
