    Hi,

I have a pretty old machine with Windows NT installed, and after problems I decided that the (old) ethernet card needed a recent driver for the system.

Does anyone know where to find NT drivers for the 'Linksys Ether16 LAN card' (Instant Ethernet Series)?

If anyone can help, I would appreciate it :)

The latest I can find for a Microsoft OS are the 1997 drivers.

Are you having a problem with the card?

This is following my problem with NT (on a previous thread).

Since I cannot find any other problems, I decided to observe the network card and I don't know if it is compatible with WinNT. there is a WinNT folder on the driver disk, but I don't know if it is refering to 4.0 or 3.51...

The card is linksys ether16 lan card and I need to find a suitable NT4 driver for it.

    Thanks in advance.

I think that one is NE2000 compat. and you can use the generic driver for it.

Are you refering to the driver already on the disk for Windows NT?

Yup. Not able to look at an NT4 system but either the one specific to the card or if that gives problems, there should be a generic NE2000 driver set available. Been a long time and I just don't remember.

    Hi quakbal

Had a similar problem with a Linksys ETHER16 LAN CARD ISA8 / FAST 16 10MBS card. Although the card worked, just was no updated drivers, since the card was to old. Will be buying a faster up to date NIC card for $25.00.... the joys of accelerated aging in computer years.

    Hi quackbal

You can read the thread here.. The computer is about 6 years old running w95. BUT the NIC was installed "new" 18 months ago by cable company when I upgraded to broadband. I have the two install floppies that came with the card. If you like I could zip'em and email them to you. Unless I missed it, the newest drivers I could find on the floppies were August 1997.
PS... beware, the NIC is a ISA card, not sure what this effects if you have a PCI card.
