I'd like to know what is our, Netscape user, current situation.
Will Netscape ever go beyond 7.1 version, or we better slowly move toward Mozilla/Firebird?

It's unlikely there will be any further netscape releases. The netscape name is now being used by aol for a low cost isp.

If you choose to continue with the browser, you will eventually need to upgrade to mozilla or firebird + thunderbird.

    Hi broni,

I can only echo tranquilo's comments. Netscape is now defunct, and the only reason it would be updated is in the event of a serious security leak. As Netscape 7.1 is now a little over 6 months old, that is very unlikely.

Mozilla 1.5 is the latest stable Release, and both the Resource Leak and Installer bugs have been addressed. Mozilla comes without any AOL components, and now includes a spellchecker. It is lean, and faster than Netscape. It is the future for Netscape users who wish to move forward.

Mozilla.org is making every effort to make Mozilla an end user product, which earlier on in its development, was not the case.

    Thanks, people.
I have Mozilla installed on my computer, and I like it. My only little problem with usig it, is the fact, it won't handle my Netscape web based mail account, to which I'm receiving quiet a number of mails. I know, I can go to Netscape web page to pick up my mail, but it's kind of inconvenient.

But broni, the advantages of Mozilla far outweigh the inconvenience of accessing your Mail from the web portal...
