    Hi

Forgive me if I've missed an answer to this elsewhere - I have looked but I have work to get on with.

I installed NS 7.2 today, and the next time I started Mozilla all my bookmarks had dissappeared to be replaced by the NS defaults (along with the homepage and skin...). I can see the original file (intact) at C:\Documents and Settings\videopoet\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\default\w61dmu2k.slt

    My questions are:
1.What do I have to do to get Mozilla to see it?
2.How can I prevent this from happening again if update NS (which I only want for cross-browser testing)
    Thanks

I had almost sent you a reply, and then, I stopped mysel, because there is something strange here. Basically, you have been trying to access Netscape and Mozilla with the same profile, and what is missing are the links to the HD.
This has been reported, but never put the way you did. If you want to get things back to normal, you will have to create at least one profile. It should work from Start|All Programs|Netscape7.2|Profile Manager|Manage Profiles|Create Profile. Give it a name. "default" is not good. Now, you will be selecting the new one for NS7.2, which will have the basic stuff. And, you can create a profile for Mozilla, and call it default. This should work if all the files are in the right place.
You can always copy the bookmarks.html file from one profile and paste it into the other.
So, never use the same profile, if Mozilla and Netscape are still installed.

    Hi videopoet,

If you need a little help with creating the Netscape 7.2 Profile, see this page:
