Hi, This happened the other day. I double clicked on Netscape (desktop) and it appeared to launch as normal. Then it disappeared. I double clicked again and same result. I uninstalled and cleaned the reg. Installed and the problem still is there. Any ideas?

Welcome to the Forum Bimmer Guy!

    Hi Bimmer Guy,

In order to help you, we will need more information:

    - Which version of Netscape are you using
    - System Spec's. if you use Netscap 6/7
    - What files were deleted when you "cleaned the reg "

Let us know, and then we can get started on troubleshooting your problem.

    Thanks!

    Ramona :D

Most likely, your Netscape has crashed and haven't been completely removed (the unix/linux term is killed) from the memory.

Just Alt + Ctrl + Del, then see if the Netscape file is there...
    if so, just close it.
Then wait for about 5 or 10 sec, then restart Netscape.

Thanks guy! I tried your suggestion and it worked. My system is Netscape 4.75, Win 98, Pentuim 4 1.6
256 ram. I plan to upgrade to a newer ver of Netscape.

    Bimmer Guy,

Try 4.78 or 4.79. I upgraded to 4.78 and a problem similiar to your's was fixed. Not completely, but almost. I hardly get the problem now. Check Ramona's site for instructions on a clean install.
