First off, new to the board, and looking forward to learning a lot here.. And Thanks a head of time ;)

Ok, my OE bugged out on me. I DLed Netscape 7.1 and it worked fine until I started deleting files.. For sure unknown reason, I deleted Mozilla. Then my Netscape mail (which is how I can recieve my email.. I need an OE based program to retrieve my messages) stopped working.. All I get is the hourglass and then nothing. I have tried opening this through every possible link that I have. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, uninstalled, defraged, rebooted and reinstalled... Still nothing. Any ideas?

    Welcome to the Forum, DinkyLuther!

    Hi DinkyLuther,

When you uninstall Netscape 7.1, you must always uninstall this folder:
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\mozilla.org

This folder contains the GRE (Gecko Runtime Environment) and if not removed on uninstall, Netscape won't start. The full path is:
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\mozilla.org\GRE\1.4f_2003062408

Once you uninstall Netscape, always reboot the PC, so the system files can be updated.

If you are running Windows XP, then I would suggest moving on to Mozilla 1.6. Netscape 7.1 is a very unstable browser, full of bugs, and there is a major problem with losing the Mail settings for Windows XP users.

    Mozilla 1.6 Download
    Release Notes

The Release Notes have very good installation instructions.
