I have a P4v88 motherboard, running Win2k, had netscape 7.2 on and working fine. then something ? happened, I rebootedbut could not boot computer due to an error in registy file. I boot fron cd drive placed win2k cd in, and reinstalled win2k without reformatting. everything is working fine except that when I click on the icon for netscape, the cursor flashes but does nothing. Any ideas?

Your profile is coompletely separate from the program, and you probably lost the link which allows your profile with all the personal data to talk to each other.
A simple solution is to by-pass the profile manager. See if you have the needed information If everything is in order, you should able to enter the "profilename ", which most likely is called default. If something else happened, check the Control Panel|Add/Remove if there is a Netscape7.2 entry. Then ,try to uninstall 7.2, and then reinstall it. But, the uninstall must work properly.
Your profile will not be touched.
