What gives with my netscape link buttons! I go to click on a new link, and nothing happens. A blank page usually shows up.

    Hi rgn,
What do you mean by "usually "? Some do and some don't? Are you referring to ones in your bookmarks?

    Hi Bob and Daizy,

Yes, more information is needed on what is happening, but in case this is an example of the Netscape Communicator "Phantom Process" and link failure bug in versions 4.77 and earlier, , look at my reply in this other thread, "While browsing, Netscape drops links "

    broken links

Some times the web page doesn't change to the new link, like its already open. Then, at times it will just load a new "blank" page. It happens when I want to go to a new page via a link in an open web page, not a bookmark. I am running 6.2 netscape, I think! Anyways, it's a newer version. Will a reinstall of netscape help? I go over to IE:( , and it works just fine, in that browser. I'm not on my home system right now to check on the version of netscape.

    Hi rgn
You could perhaps give this a shot...maybe worth a try?

    Hi Bob,

In addition to Daizy's suggestion, could you give us the URL (http "address ") to one of the "blank" pages, or to a page where links don't work? It's possible that the page doesn't work well with Netscape 6.2.

Also make sure you have Java and Javascript enabled in your Netscape Preference settings.

In Mozilla 1.0 - Netscape 6.2 should be similar - it would be under Edit/Preferences/Advanced: "Enable Java" on the main Advanced screen.
Under Advanced, in the Scripts and Windows sub-section:
    - Enable JavaScript for:
    Navigator
    - Allow webpages to: Check ALL of these checkboxes, particularly,
"Open a link in a new window ".
