Netscape hangs as well as IE, when trying to access a web site the hour glass comes up and thats it. I still have an internet connection, I can get e-mail and ping. Tried uninstalling IE and re-installing. Win 98.

    Hi Mike,

Sounds as if this may not be a Netscape problem, since it occurs in IE as well. However, if it is Netscape specific:

Delete the Cache folder located in the *.slt folder (Profiles Folder Location)
Check your Netscape cookies.txt file to ensure it is not "Read only" If not "Read only ", try deleting the file, as it may be corrupt.
Disable your JavaScript to see if this prevents the hang
    Try deleting your C:\WINDOWS\temp files

Do you use a HOSTS file for adblocking, if so, disable
Do you use a third-party adblocker, if so, disable
Do you use password protection, and if so disable temporarily
When you close Netscape, check the Task Manager: CTL+ALT+DEL
    Do you see Netscape listed?

I'll keep looking around to see what else I can come up with.
