I have had some crashes in netscape and now my BCC refuses to work.
I have reloaded netscape ... no joy there.
My sent file shows the email was sent out as BCC but it's lieing ... it went out "To "
The only sign I get that something is wrong is my server asks for my password when begining to send email.
    Anyone help here?

I use Netscape 4.7 and have sent things out BCC also. If I look in my sent folder, I will see the list of people that I sent it to. It still went as a BCC message, it just allows me to see who I sent it to. How do you know that it wasn't sent as BCC? Have you checked with one of the recepients about it? As far as the password, have you checked remember password in your profile?

    Hi Iron&Clay,

    MinnesotaMike has it nailed.

Another way to check: address an email to yourself, with several BCC's. When received, you will definitely not see the recipients of the BCC's.

Any time I send to more than one recipient, I always address the email to myself, thus ensuring the privacy of all recipients. Just plain old net etiquette. :D

Well, I don't quite understand what it means.
The e-mails address in BCC will be send out as well, but the receiptant should not see his e-mail in BCC and TO fields. (unless you specified it in TO field as well).

If all the e-mail address specified in BCC but shows in TO field, then you might need to try a new profile and/or preform a clean re-installation.

Ramona has good article on clean installation of Netscape.

I have Netscape 4.70 and to keep all the address from showing up that you BBC: you had to put one address in the TO:
So email the TO: to yourself.

I think the newer versions you can put all the address in the BCC:

When tru this back at the UAMB and Teal or Alice told me this.

As Anthony mentions, it may be time for a clean install of Netscape. You will have to completely remove your current Netscape then reinstall. Check out Ramona's site for more info on doing this and saving your important info (i.e. bookmarks, address book, etc.). Let us know if that helps.
