    Netscape 8 Woes recently developed.

I have been using Netscape ver 8 for a while now. Love the tabs and other features. BUT just in the past few weeks I've had trouble both at home and on my work PC as well. Several pages seem not to perform fullly. Yahoo has changed their login page and now I cannot get in using Netscape - buttons won't function. If I clicked on teh "close Window" buttons it would crash. I keep getting ActiveX messages to install Adobe Macromedia ver9 (over and over adn nothing happens) So I enter using IE6. At work Netscape started locking up. It would load but then freeze. I ran Norton AV and Trend Micro HouseCall - both reporting fine, but for nimor tracking cookies. I uninstalled NSv8 and I then tried the upgrade to NSver 8.1 at work. It was fine for 3 days and now will not even load. I went to download ver 8 to re-install, and cannot even find ver 8 anywhere! Should I switch to FireFox? SeaMonkey? I saved a copy of my bookmarks; will firefox import them ? Anyone heard anything about Maxthon browser?

G'day, I have Netscape, FireFox, latest version(it accepts my Yahoo.Com.Au Home Page and I recently downloaded SeaMonkey, and I have IE 6.0, whixh seems to have gone down hill, if you go to this page unless you have a username already, you can find a ton of information, I have all but given up on The netscape, I love the New FireFox, and I like SeaMonkey, and IE 6.0 *****, it takes forever to load pages, and is always crashing, if you know of an IE 6.0 Fix It program would appreciate it. I use win XP SP 1, I have heard so much bad stuff about SP 2 I did not download it, but this site is packed with som much info for not only FireFox, but SeayMonkey and Thunderbird e-mail client, hope this helps.

Maxthon Internet Browser software is a powerful tabbed browser with a highly customizable interface. It is based on the Internet Explorer browser engine (your most likely current web browser) which means that what works in the IE browser will work the same in Maxthon tabbed browser but with many additional efficient features like... I used it once, a few years ago.
As for NS8.1, I, barely, tolerate it, as it, regularly freezes on startup. After 13 uninstall/reinstall, I am using it only to check someone else's problems. My Yahoo works, although Yahoo is for the birds. as far as I am concerned, don't ask why I say that.

By the way, I hesitated getting SP2 for over one year, but it is ok. All my favorite programs works, and I can select my own Firewall and AntiSpyware.
