If you don't want the commercial junk that is forced on you when you install Netscape 7, you may want to give Mozilla 1.1 a spin.

I've always hated having AIM installed without my permission or the adv download in netscape mail.

    Mozilla has one super feature:
You can tell it to disable popups!(under advanced check off unrequested windows)

PC Mag an issue of two ago had a review of browsers.

Mozilla is not perfect -there are some small problems with importing address books properly (insists on creating new address book etc.), and some java problems on special interactive BtoB pages (Ingram Micro Web ordering), but overall it works very nicely -far better than Netscape 4.xx
and appears faster than IE 5.x, 6

    Give it a spin.

I concur, Mozilla 1.1 is great. I'm currently using it as my default browser and the only things I've found not to work are some page rendering issues (not very often at all) and some internal intranet domain authentication. Other than those two things I'm pleased as punch with 1.1. Oh and the pop-up killer is the first one I've actually seen work.

I use Mozilla too, and have been for a long time. I really love it, and think it is the best browser on the market, score 2 pts for open-source. Its my default browser now, on both Win and Lin. I like the pinball theme, have you tried it yet?

ANyone tried 1.2 alpha yet? I'm worried about trying an alpha version, even though 1.1 alpha had no problems.

I really wish more people on this board would try Mozilla instead of Netscape, if you don't, your missing somthing really good.

Mozilla 1.1, 1.2alpha, Phoenix 0.3 and Beonex 0.8.1 (= moz 1.0.1) here. Netscape is no longer welcome. However, I don't use any of the themes/skins.

Phoenix is looking good so far. I haven't tested it much yet, but it seems somewhat stable. This is posted with Phoenix. Phoenix is very nice once you add your own userContent and userChrome css files... lol.

    Hi BuckDeath,

I'm finding Mozilla 1.2a to be fairly stable. I have noted a couple of times that when the program is closed, there is a "Phantom" Mozilla in the Tasks lists. This was a bug in Netscape Communicator ....

I should add that I do use Netscape 7.0 as my defaut browser, and use Mozilla somewhat infrequently.
