Netscape 7.2 wo'nt open

Have XPHomew/SP2. Netscape 7.2 will not open. Have tried clean boot, downloaded 4 times, all with clean install. Used both online and offline install.
Other computer w/XPPro/SP2 has no problem. Made CD from this computer and tried install, but could not complete as install needs Installation Program, which I can not locate or identify.
Any body have idea as to problem!
Tried Netscape/Mozilla Forum but they could not solve.

Hi Al,

When you uninstalled Netscape, did you also delete these folders:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\mozilla.org\GRE\1.7.2_2004080415\
C:\Program Files\Netscape\Netscape

If you installed Netscape 7.2 on top of Netscape 7.1, then you should also delete this folder:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\mozilla.org\GRE\1.4f_2003062408\

Clear your C:\WINDOWS\Temp folder
REBOOT YOUR PC

One Windows XP user reported that deleting the GRE folder had no effect, i.e., Netscape still didn't start. He was able to resolve the problem by editing the Registry, in order to add the user permission "Everyone" as explained below:

BTW, I would always use the full install, as there are frequent problems using the online install.
