    Hi,
I just setup my Netscape 7.2 Mail & newsgroup folders and somehow one of the folders with many subgroups is malfunctioning and while showing up in the folder list, does not show in the list to move messages to. I've tried deleting, renaming etc.
The 2nd problem is when I downloaded my mail from my pop3 server efn, it came into the inbox with no subject, sender or receiver. When I click on the message it's not in a format I understand.
I have windows 2000, plenty of disk space, lots of mail to download but can't seem to get ALL of it with subject headings, etc. SOME of it, however, comes through just fine!!
Thanks for any help you can offer. I'm not real savy with looking through hard drive and making changes, but I have done some of that.

    Welcome to the Forum, sara!

    Sara,

By "folder ", do you mean Mail Account? The Mail Account is listed in the left pane, but does not show on the right click, "Move to ", "Copy to ", etc? If this is the case, then do this:

    Exit Netscape
    Open Windows Explorer
Open the Mail Account folder which is malfunctioning. It will be located here:
    C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\profilename\*.slt\Mail\pop.ispname.net

Open the Mail Account folder, and delete all files ending in MSF, e.g.,
    Inbox.msf, Drafts.msf, Templates.msf, etc.
Open Netscape Mail, and see if this helps.

Also check your Server settings to ensure that the Mail Account is pointing to the correct path on your HD.
    Open Netscape Mail
Click on: Edit | Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings
Under the malfunctioning Account, click on Server Settings
Scroll to the bottom of the page, there you will see a field for "Local directory "
The path there should match the location on your HD for this Mail Account
If the path is different, then you need to click on the "Browse" Tab to the right of the Local directory field, and navigate to the correct location on the HD, and select it.

For the second problem, would you please start a new thread? This will help other members searching for this type of problem, and if included in this thread might not be found.

    Thanks!

    Ramona

One suggestion on the messages which don't show up. Highlight the message line, select View|Message source. That will tell where the message comes from, etc. and any plain text.
I used to get quite a few message with no subject, the sender was a dash (-), ann no visible message. All of them were spam.
