A couple of weeks ago I did a full install (24.2megs?) download of 7.2, installed it with no problem and it works great with one exception. I have a DSL connection and as long as I stay online I can surf all day with no problem but if I go offline for a few hours or leave my computer on all night I can't get a connection again without rebooting the computer. What I get is the message 'Resolving Google.com' in the progress bar and it times out after about 30 seconds or so. I was using Netscape 7.0 prior to upgrading to 7.2 and performance is great except for this weird failure to re-connect. What is happening here?
On the up side I used to get, on the average day, more than 80 spam/junk emails and now by using the 'junk' button and 'teaching' Netscape what is junk I have reduced that 80+ junk/spam emails to about 3 or 4 a day and by 'junking' those I think I might get it down to nothing soon. I have tried several 'spam busters' and have found nothing that beats this feature.

I never do what you do, exactly, but I am not sure if I understand what you do.
Is your Netscape open through all this? I never keep it open any longer than necessary, and it does not take all that much time to load, even without Quick launch (Prefs|Advanced).
Do you have the Google toolbar? I use Google like a website (I have a Personal Toolbar item).

Westside, it is doing exactly what I wrote. As long as I stay on the internet it will work fine all day but if I leave the internet for a few hours, or overnight, and then try to re-connect Netscape can't find anything, it's like the server went down or something. I reboot the computer and everything works fine again. It has to the 7.2 since it never did this with 7.0. I use Google as my home page and for searches, I don't use Netscape to search but it does load Google upon starting the browser.

I should have been paying more attention to what you said in first place this part, in particular, "I was using Netscape 7.0 prior to upgrading to 7.2 "
The only method which will work, is to uninstall, first, 7.0, and then install 7.2. If you did the on top installation, you will have some problem. Ideally, you should uninstall the older version, and also create a different profile.
Anyway, these new versions are so different from an earlier version that everything gets confused. The method worked fine with NS4.x, where the updates were small. Go to the Add/Remove, and see what you have there.

    7.2 Glitch

Ok, I uninstalled 7.0, re-installed 7.2 and let the computer set all night turned on, monitor was off. Tried to connect to the internet this morning and got the same thing 'resolving Google .com' and then it timed out. I had to shut down and re-boot the computer to get a connection. It's like it just shuts down 7.2 if I don't connect for awhile. I don't know of any settings that would cause it to do this, if there is one I can't find it.
