Hi: whenever I D/L any picture I get it very small until I unclick Fit image to window. Is there a way to NOT have this come on?

No. The picture is of the size selected by the person who placed it on the website. And, this is not a Netscape7.2 issue, since you are downloading the picture. I have to contend with this when I want to create a cover for CDs which I burn. With few exceptions, these images are 1.5in x1.5 in, and they should be expanded to about 4.7x4.65.
I have good software which expands the picture, but it looks out of focus, even after quite a bit of handling. Where do you see this Fit Image to Window?

I found a way to keep Fit image to Window UNchecked at all times. It's in pref>Appearence. "Resize larger images to fit in window" Uncheck this

The reason why I said that it was not a Netscape problem was because you said that you downloaded the picture. To me downloaded would mean to place a picture out of Netscape, like with "Save Image As ", after right clicking.
Obviously you meant something different. You have the same kind of setting you had, and it looked fine.
Right click|View Image opens an another window with the same size image whether the box is checked off or not.
Could you tell me what you were doing?

Westside, I see I was'nt clear when I said download a picture. When I saw a pic I wanted I click and bring into my browser window. Then right click to save as. However the picture was rather small. I noticed a check mark besides "Fit image to Window" when I right click so I uncheck it and picture is now a decent size. I wanted to know how to KEEP this unchecked all the time. I went to Edit>Pref>Appearence and uncheck "resize large images to fit browser window" Everything is good now

It may not matter, at all, but your explanation is, still, not clear to me.
And, I am not even talking about the first part of your explanation. Like how do you bring the picture in the browser window? But, the moment that you save the picture, you are no longer in Netscape. I tested what you said in a couple of cases, after adjusting the Preferences, and the picture was the same size in all cases. I think that the Appearance setting applies to viewing in the browser, but not out of the browser. I am using IrfanView as a Picture Viewer, and what I see in it, is what I get. If I right click on the shortcut, wherever it is, I can select to Open with five different viewers, each one has its own setting of "Fit image to Window ", but not seen by right click. In fact to uncheck the Appearance setting does not make any sense, since it deal with large, and not small images.
I just don't understand what you have been doing.
By the way, have you tried the same thing with Internet Explorer?

I guess my computer terminology is not up to par. Thanks for your time and effort.
