I just received my Vista Home Premium Express Upgrade from Dell and am wondering if Netscape 7.2 will work with it?

    Hi Skeet,

That was fast, and I probably will be getting mine soon.

To answer your question: I ran the Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor on my Dell system, with Firefox, Thunderbird, Netscape 7.2, and SeaMonkey, installed, and none of the applications were listed as incompatible. I have all of the latest versions installed, with the exception of Netscape.

If you haven't done this yet, you can get the Upgrade Advisor here:
    Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor 1.0

I am also trying to get an official nod from one of the Netscape Champions, as to the compatibility of Netscape 7.2 with Windows Vista. I'll post the information as soon as I hear something. Frankly, I can't imagine that it wouldn't be compatible.

Thanks Ramona. My Vista upgrade came with a disk labeled Upgrade Assistant to check the computer and it's factory setup plus 3rd party software. It also checks for certain applications and drivers that are known to cause problems. Thanks again for the info.
