Maybe you can help me. I am using Netscape 7.1 mail and just in the past few weeks, it stopped displaying my received emails in html format. There are some emails I would prefer to read in that format.

I have tried checking and unchecking the "compose in html" box in the mail and newsgroups settings and that has not changed anything. I have been searching through the different settings and cannot find anything that seems to relate to how you view the email.

I am the only one in our building with the problem. Other Netscape Mail users are able to view html messages just fine so it is not our email server.

    Any ideas?

I have heard of a similar problem, and it appeared when someone worked in the general area, and undid something accidentally. Never mind the reason. When in Mail, check the View Message body as. What is it checked for?

Well, that was it. I have no idea how that got changed, I certainly wouldn't have done it intentionally. Thanks so much for your help! :D

The same thing happened to someone else, I knew, just a few days ago. Again, he did not know how it happened. I may have been a case of working with the line above or below, and missing the target. In any event, now you know that it can happen.
