Is there ANY real benefit in upgrading to 7.1? I just got comfortable with 7.01.

If I do, are you supposed to uninstall 7.01?

    Thanks.

    Hi vegaspat,

Read the Netscape 7.0 - 7.1 Release Notes, "What's New" section. Some security fixes in 7.02, upgrade of Flash Player, and Sun Java.

From 7.02 to 7.1 are the inclusions of new updated features. There are some issues in 7.1 which users are experiencing, so it is a personal choice. Read the Release Notes, Forums, Netscape Newsgroups, and make your decision from there.

If you decide to upgrade, then yes, definitely do a Clean Install.

I upgraded to Netscape 7.1 from 7.0 and I really like the new spam controls in Netscape Mail. I didn't do a clean install and I haven't lost anything or have had any problems.

    Ramona,

Thanks for the info. I didn't get an e-mail alert that you had even answered me, which I thought was strange. Guess I'd better find out why.
