In my imap folder I do not have a trash folder and can not delete messages. there is a red x on the delete button and doesn't do anything when I click delete on a message.
Anyone know how I can restore or get the trash folder back so that I can delete?

    thanks,
    S

You are being a bit vague, because there is no such thing as an average IMAP folder, but rather IMAP accounts. You could be a bit more specific because not all IMAP accounts were created equal. I have one real IMAP account, and five pseudo-IMAPs. I call AOL and Netscape Webmail (@netscape.net) pseudo-IMAPs, because they often don't behave properly. At present, Webmail has a Trash bin, but AOL does not. Reason? AOL does not accept back anything is no longer part of its mail. Red X mean that you can't do it from the present mail client.
