Several people have stated that my Netscape 7.1 mailbox shows being full when they send me an e-mail - I do receive the e-mails but I need to correct the problem - They don't think I'm receiving their e-mails Also, how can I increase my capacity for receiving e-mails in the future?

    Thanks,
    Ace

    Ace,

Your Inbox capacity is determined by your ISP. Give your provider a call, or look on their website for the maximum capacity. Most provider's have a 10 MB Inbox capacity.

If your Inbox is larger than 10 MB, then you need to archive that mail. The Inbox isn't intended for storing mail, and you do risk losing it all, if that is what you're doing.

You can check the size of your Inbox by opening Windows Explorer, and looking in your Mail Account folder. Look at this page for the Mail Account folder location: http://home.att.net/~cherokee67/mailfldrloc.html

Just a note about the capacity. It definitely should be up to to the ISP, but these days ISPs have increased the capacity to large proportions. If I understand the situation correctly, it is not the mail that is in the Inbox, but rather the mail which remains on the server which is limiting. I have heard of people stuffing over 1 GB of mail in their Inboxes, and that is going to be problematic. My 12 accounts combined do not add 10 MB of mail on server, so I am never in danger that way. It is important to delete unneeded mail, and compact folders, but very few people should be limited by mail on server, unless they get a ton of spam.
