Netscape 7.1 going sour

About 4 days ago 7.1 started going nuts. When I boot up in the morning to check my email I have to set up a new account starting from scratch and then when I get into the mail downloading goes ok except that it doesn't put junk mail in the junk folder even though the box is checked to do so, and it erases everything that came in the day before, everything. Additionally it changes my home page from Google to Netscape .com when I click on start Netscape 7.1.
I have XP Home and have done a system restore twice to a date before the problem started but no luck. Have also run my antivirus (AVG) and also ran Spy Bot and Spy Sweeper, they found nothing. What is going on with this thing, I have used 7.1 since it came out, (full version download) and until this week never had a problem. I am hesitant to turn the computer off now because of the irritants on reboot.

Ramona, I might have found the problem, I downloaded CWShredder and ran it, I had a CWS (Cool Web Search) browser hijacker, version CWS.svchost32
on the machine, after deleting it I did a shutdown/restart, and Google came up as the homepage, and my one email was still there. I am still wondering how the CWS could have deleted all of my emails, it's not supposed to do that. I'll let you know tomorrow if it is still ok after sitting all night.

Ramona, that must have been it, I booted up today and everything worked fine, my one email was still there and Google came up as my home page. If anyone else has a similar problem here is the link to the fix

I know that it is a zip file but it seems clean, at least I got rid of the problem and nothing else has happened.
