Hi, I have a problem printing in Netscape 7.1 under both profiles I have installed. It does not give me an error or close the program, it just doesn't print. I have to switch over to IE to print any web/internet related material and copy my email to a Word doc. to print. Printing works from IE and all other programs. Any idea what could be the problem?

The 2nd thing that is weird is that when I open Netscape from my desktop a Windows "Run With" dialog box pops up and I must click ok for Netscape to open or enter my username and password to alter settings which I have tried but it doesn't accept any usernames or passwords. I am sure this is a Windows XP setting (possibly security), but I do not know how to get rid of it or stop it from coming up. It doesn't effect Netscape however because if I click "ok" Netscape opens as usual. It only comes up when I open Netscape, not any other programs installed on my computer. Any ideas?

    Thanks ahead of time!

    steve51897,

Welcome to the board! If it was me, I would suspect an installation problem. I would uninstall Netscape and reinstall it. If you've been running N7.1 for awhile, maybe something has become corrupt. A reinstall can get things going again. Here are some instructions for a clean install of Netscape7.x. Just make sure you go through all the instructions and backup what you want to keep.

If Ramona (our resident Netscape guru) pops in, she may have a couple suggestions also. If you decide to reinstall, let us know how you come out.

    Mike
