I have my email addresses created in the 'personal address book'. When ever i send an email, the pgm creates another listing of the person in the book. ALSO when using IM, I've noticed that its' keeping a record of the IM names also.

    HOW can I STOP this...

In Netscape, go to "Edit/Preferences" and find "Mail and Nesgroups" "Addressing ". Uncheck the box that says "Add email addresses to my" or change the drop down from "Personal address book" to "Collected adresses ". The second option will still collect addresses but will store them in a different "book" so you can selectively copy the ones you want into your personal address book.

Why does it copy the IM's (Instant Messages) user names.

Don't know. I'm not a big IM user. You might try the stand alone AIM instead of using the version embedded in Netscape. Maybe it'll behave differently.
