Because of a recent discussion concerning text boxes, I recently downloaded Netscape to see the differences between it an Mozilla. So far, a few built in links and skins as far as I can see.

However, when I try to access Netscape Mail or Hotmail, I get an immediate login error--yahoo mail works fine (I know I know, why do I need all this webmail?); would this be a preferences problem that is blocking these specific pages? The problem is that Mozilla now seems to have this same problem which it didn't have before.

Oh, yeah--and it looks like the profiles settings on Netscape have disabled my password manager on Mozilla--but this is not a big deal.

    thescribe,

Did you create a unique Profile for Netscape 7.02? If not, then I would suggest that this is your problem.

    Hi Ramona,

Yeah, I did create a profile--two in fact because I want to use one at work and one at home--being a teacher I'm not too keen on having my students looking over my shoulder at my browsing history, and having one set up with mainly educational resources.

But here is the clincher, now that I'm home everything works fine again so it must have something to do with the school's firewall, but if that's the case then why does yahoo work? And why does it block msn and netscape only on Navigator and Mozilla and not on IE? Now I also use Norton Internet Security (ever since my last school when some student hackers started going through teacher's hard drives via the intranet connection), but that connects to these pages normally.

Once again, this is more of a curiosity than anything else and not an emergency by any means.
