    Very often opening a new web page gives me an error "The document has no data ". I have tried clearing the disk and memory cache, but it does not help. I have to close the browser and reopen before it will function. What is the problem?

    It is an error message that is usually generated when it encounters bad coding on a website or when a proxy server cannot be reached in a short amount of time.

    Add the following line to your user.js file

    user_pref( "browser.xul.error_pages.enabled ", true);

    For instructions on creating the user.js go to Ramona's site.

    Hi rg88,

    Also check your History settings and ensure that it is set to higher than 0.

    Thanks to both. Question - how do I check my history setting?

    Hi rg88,

    To check your History settings:

    Edit | Preferences | Navigator | History
