Netscape 7.02 Installation Error

Hello,
I am encountering the following error during the Installation of Netscape 7.02:
Error occurred during installation- Navigator: 5

I am running Windows NT 4.00.1386 with Administrator previliges. I had installed Netscape 7.0 successfully before trying to upgrade to 7.02. I tried the installation both by downloading the small installer as well as the full installer. Both of them result in the same error.

I searched the forum and found one entry about zlib.dll error. But that doesn't seem to be related to my situation.

Suggestions and help are welcome. Thanks.

Hi somaimb,

If you're installing Netscape with Admin rights and the permission is in Read Only, you will get an error. Not sure if this will apply to you, but it may.

Do you have dual OS' installed on your system?

Thanks. The problem comes while the installation is in progress and when the installer tries to copy Netscape 7.0 to the destination directory, the whole process stops and I get the error message
"Error occurred duing installation - Navigator: 5 "
