I just installed version 7.02 on a new computer. When viewing webpages that contain animations, the animations are not working. I have the correct settings setup in preferences but cannot get animations to work.

I'm using Windows XP and a broad band connection. I do have ZoneAlarm Pro firewall on the system and Norton AV 2003. I'm not sure if any of those programs can be causing the problem and i have tried shutting down certain aspects in those progs to see if it made a difference which it did not.

Any idea on how I can get animations to work with 7.02?

I don't have ZA any more so I may be thinking of a completely different firewall, but I believe there is a setting about playing animations once, repeatedly, or not at all.

The settings for image animation is under Privacy and Security in NS if you haven't checked there.

ZA continues to block most programs even after it has been shut down, so to test if that it the culprit, shut down ZA and then close and restart NS.

Figured this one out today. Completely shut down ZoneAlarm Pro's Privacy settings (cookie patrol, ad blocking) and all works fine with animations now.

Seems ZoneAlarm is one helluva stringent program!
